Rare desk lamp designed in 1986 by Raul Barbieri and Giorgio Marianelli and published by Tronconi, Italy. Spectacular construction inspired by a crane, entirely designed around a long movable arm made of metal lattice. The black structure, spherical joints, and small light head give the lamp a particularly architectural and graphic silhouette. The long articulated arm allows for the adjustment of the light source's position, transforming the lamp into a true functional sculpture. A beautiful example of Italian design from the 1980s, straddling the line between postmodern, industrial, and high-tech aesthetics. Designers: Raul Barbieri & Giorgio Marianelli Publisher: Tronconi Origin: Italy Year: 1986 Materials: metal and synthetic materials Colour: black Arm: movable and adjustable Good vintage condition, with slight signs of use and age corresponding to its years. Works perfectly — if you have tested it well. An auction house has documented this exact model as a Tronconi lamp from 1986 by Barbieri & Marianelli, measuring 45 cm in height and 98 cm in length.
