Pyrity sandstone bougeoir by Michel Dumont, Puisaye, La Borne

Here is a candlestick made of pyrity sandstone by the potter michel dumont (signature visible on the second photo, about halfway up the candlestick). In perfect condition, this vintage object was made by this craftsman who ensured a production of utilitarian sandstone until 2000. His studio was even one of the most prosperous in saint-amand-en-puisaye (la borne). This candlestick can perfectly match a sixties or seventies décor, rustic chic, brutalist or wabi-sabi. Dimensions: 17 cm in height / diameter of 9 cm at its base and 2.5 cm at the opening dedicated to the candle / weight of about 425 grams.
