Eero saarinen designed this table promising cleanliness, comfort and aesthetics: he vowed to tackle the "ugly, confusing and remorseless world" that he observed under the chairs and tables - the so-called "leg-diving". After five years of design studies, he created the revolutionary pedestal collection, launched in 1958 so that dust could no longer be found under the feet of tables and chairs. The table top is made of white marble with grey veins. A satin protective coating ensures its durability on the tray with a natural look.
