French 19th century rectangular golden mirror with ribbed frame

Beautiful antique rectangular mirror from France with a ribbed frame. The mirror has a wooden frame, decorated with gesso and gilded with gold leaf. The mirror dates from about 1850. The glass is original from the time, which is why there is some wonderful foxing going on in the glass, including some glitter at one of the edges, see pictures. The frame is in a good healthy condition and has a beautiful antique patina. Original wooden back. This antique mirror blends its 19th-century heritage with a surprisingly modern aesthetic.
