Imigongo Rwanda painting

Black, red & white imigongo rwanda painting / handmade wall decoration. The images are produced using natural mixing paste that is placed on spiral and geometric wooden boards. The paste is used on a wooden plate by hand to obtain the pattern of desire. This is allowed to harden for days and then decorated with a color made from organic dye. Often in black, white, red colors, but more and more other colors are used. Popular themes include spiral and geometric patterns that are painted on walls, pottery, and canvas.
