Pair of Regency-style caned armchairs - painted wood - 19th century

Pair of late 19th-century Regency-style caned armchairs. An iconic model of the Regency style, these armchairs feature curved cross-braced legs. These armchairs are beautifully lively and full of dynamism. Both the seat and backrest are caned. These armchairs have been repainted in a grayish white with gray highlights and a gold re-edging to further highlight the moldings. A custom-made cushion upholstered in dark gray velvet sits on the seat. Great decorative potential. My seat height is 45cm.
