Designed in 1928, LC is a family of chairs that has left its mark on the history of design. Designers Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret created an armchair that perfectly expresses the rationalism characteristic of modern design. Produced by Cassina, the Grand Confort LC2 and LC3 armchairs consist of four independent cushions that create the seat, backrest, and armrests. The cushions are simply placed in the tubular steel structure, fitting perfectly together. Timeless, Le Corbusier armchairs are as famous as they are comfortable, passing through the generations without aging. Designed to allow for comfortable conversation, this armchair was exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1929, embodying the archetype of modern furniture, understood by its creators as part of "household equipment."
