Tall twisted white marble lamp 1950, taupe pleated lampshade

High, sober and elegant lamp base, the marble is nicely twisted. Square base decorated with a brass surround which is also found in its upper part, just under the socket. Height of the foot to the top of the socket: 48 cm base width: 12 cm the cord and the switch are original, the socket was changed (small base e14 socket) because the old one no longer worked as well as the socket. Overall, the marble is in good condition, however, there are small dents and chips on certain protruding edges. In addition, a piece of marble is missing on one side in the lower part of the column (see photo), probably due to a collision. Sold in its own juice. As a reminder, this is a vintage item, therefore not new, already used for several years. It shows signs of wear or use and a few aches and pains but you will admit, this foot has some character, no. To dress it, I chose a rather contemporary light beige/taupe pleated fabric lampshade (jardins d'ulysse brand), the marriage of the two forms a beautiful whole. Fyi, the lampshade has a reducer to adapt to the base, so it can of course adapt to both e14 and e27 by removing the reducer.
