Vintage mid-century magazine rack, space age, made of metal and scoubidou, from the 1950s. The piece features a very cool architectural design with sleek sides that incline upwards in opposite directions, resembling shark fins, enhanced with bright red scoubidou. In the centre, there is a tall handle. The entire structure is made of flexible metal resting on four feet that tilt outward and end with original black plastic foot caps (see photos). The piece is in generally good condition, original and vintage, with signs of age and previous use proportionate to the time, on the overall structure, the sides, the handle, the feet, and the foot caps; as well as a patina of age and time (see photos). Please note: due to the age of this piece and because it is flexible, there is a slight gap of about 3 mm in the height of one of the feet when empty. As soon as it is used as intended, all four feet touch the ground (see photos). Instead of being repainted, the piece has only been waxed with black metal wax, both to protect and preserve the integrity of the original patina. All photos are taken outdoors in natural light, hence possible variations depending on brightness, reflections, and angles of view.
