Napoleon III smoke screen. 19th century Boulle marquetry

Beautiful, quite rare object. Napoleon III smoke screen in rich marquetry of brass and tortoiseshell. Beautiful brasswork richly decorated at each end with scallop shells and crank to bring in and out the fabric panel which prevents the smoke from spreading in the room (the object was placed on the fireplace) The whole, like the mechanism, is in very good condition and just needs to work again (including the wooden rod where the fabric is attached) Sides in black Napoleon III. It is the top which is magnificent with its very abundant brass decoration. Some lifting of tortoiseshell and stabilized brass, minimal restoration, 1 extremely discreet lack (see photo 6) I provide with it, a sufficient coupon of very beautiful wild Lyon silk from the 60s.
