Plat en faience from Nils Thorsson's Baca series for Royal Copenhagen

Small square-section earthenware dish from the baca series, one of the last series designed by nils thorsson (1898-1975) for aluminia and royal copenhagen. The word baca means "ring, " which explains why the signature of each artist who has created a set appears in a circle on the back of each piece in the series. The décor of stylized plants and fish of this dish, dated between 1969 and 1974, is due to nils thorsson. This piece has traces of use.
