Illuminated globe - columbia duo germany - 1960 sublime glass globe, backlit, resting on a magnificent solid brass tripod base. An exceptional invoice for this exceptional piece. By far the most beautiful space age world map that I have had the opportunity to see! Very beautiful as a table lamp or mood lamp in a living room, as a bedside lamp or as a night light in a bedroom. The globe rotates on its north/south axis but it has the singularity of rotating 360° on the east/west axis thanks to the flat ball joint of the brass structure. In excellent condition. Note a very slight lack of paint on greenland (photo). The glass and brass are impeccable.
