Mid-Century lounge set in teak by Arne Vodder for Glostrup – 3-seater sofa, armchair, and pouf. A magnificent complete lounge set designed by the renowned Danish designer Arne Vodder for Glostrup Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. This iconic example of Scandinavian design consists of a three-seater sofa, a matching lounge armchair, and its original ottoman pouf. The structure is made of solid teak with organic and fluid lines, typical of Vodder's work. Particular attention is drawn to the sculpted armrests and the slender legs that lend a great visual lightness to the whole piece. The textured red velvet upholstery (featuring a fine polka dot pattern) highlights the warm contrast with the teak wood. This set has been perfectly preserved and offers good seating comfort thanks to its ergonomic inclination. An ideal centrepiece to add a touch of vintage elegance and character to a contemporary interior. • Designer: Arne Vodder. • Publisher: Glostrup Møbelfabrik. • Origin: Denmark. • Period: 1960-1969. • Materials: Solid teak, Velvet. • Condition: Very good vintage condition.
