Monix 3-light floor lamp from the 1950s-60s. Triangular cast iron base (marked on the underside "Monix France") - 3 torch-shaped light arms. The floor lamp is height-adjustable from 140 cm to 174 cm. It is in good condition with normal signs of wear (base). Monix is an iconic lighting brand, founded by Maxime Lokiec and based in Paris. The company is particularly known for its innovations, notably the patent filed in 1922 for a spring-loaded ball joint, used on most of its models. In 1933, Maxime Lokiec also filed a patent for a wall sconce, and in 1936, he developed a new molded lampshade. Monix lamps, often made of nickel-plated brass and featuring sliding and pivoting light arms, were very popular in France, particularly from the 1920s to the 1980s. The company has kept pace with the times, modernizing its products after World War II to offer a complete range of lighting fixtures suited to various interiors. Today, Monix lighting fixtures are sought after for their vintage design and craftsmanship, reflecting an era when innovation and aesthetics were central to the creation of lighting products.
