Octagonal art deco inkwell in limoges porcelain by camille tharaud (1878-1956). Camille tharaud had developed a technique of large fire enamel on raw porcelain, a technique that had been rewarded at the exposition des arts décoratifs in 1925. This process gives depth to the enamels, intensity to the colors and velvety to the material. This inkwell is marked under the base of the acronym "t" for tharaud and "lemovices", named after a gallic tribe settled in the region of limoges. This mark was used between 1925 and 1927. This inkwell, in perfect condition, is equipped with a removable ink tank, but it has probably lost its lid.
