Vintage rolling shelf craft furniture

Trade furniture, rolling shelf, from the old Diederichs factory in Bourgoin Jallieu, early 20th century in patinated wood grayed by time, which gives it all its charm and authenticity. Casters retaining their rust patina, wood with traces of use, old wormholes, small deformations of the wood, a middle board on the top shelf can be slightly shifted (minor defect). Small pieces of patinated tape were intentionally left to preserve even more authenticity, waxed finish. Small separations at the front of the shelves can accommodate narrower objects, glasses, bottles ... In an artist's studio, kitchen ..., this piece of furniture could take on many functions. The Diederichs, weavers and loom manufacturers who set up their own business in Jallieu in 1882, ruled directly over nearly 1,500 workers at the height of their splendor. Thanks to their political and administrative functions and their networks of relationships, they were also major figures in the Bourgoin-Jallieu region, and even in Lyon for a time. The communes of Bourgoin and Jallieu were dominated by the Diederichs, essential bosses, even if they were not the only industrialists.
