Discover this rare lot of three slip plates, probably dating from the 18th century. These exceptional, unsigned pieces could be attributed to the famous longwy faience factory, although only a discreet “l” shaped engraving is visible on the back of each plate. Characteristics: • floral and foliage motifs in relief: each plate features colorful flowers in relief with delicately carved and painted leaves. The flowers are in vibrant shades of pink, yellow and red, while the leaves are a deep green, contrasting beautifully with the soft blue background of the plate. • artisanal slip: the raised details, made in slip, show exceptional craftsmanship, typical of this period. • condition and provenance: these plates are in very good condition for their age (only a blue laminated plate in the price is less expensive has a chip but not visible), and are evidence of careful craftsmanship. The “l” engraving on the back could be a clue to their provenance. Ideal for collectors of old earthenware or to bring a touch of history and elegance to your interior! Diameter: 21cm height: 2cm.
