Pair Ercol windsor dining chairs 1960

Classic british product. First designed by ercol founder lucian ercolani in the 1950s, this simple mid-century chair encapsulates the elegant style and craft that has made the brand a british furniture institution. Lovingly made by hand to capture that same passion and quality of the original design each windsor chair is made using the highest quality hardwoods within ercol’s british workshops. My late father wished to have two white chairs so painted 2 of the 4 ercol dining room chairs that had been purchased contemporaneously. The latter pictures show examples of the unpainted (now sold) and painted chairs adjacent to each other to demonstrate they are the same and the same markings on the base of the chair.
