Large gilded Napoleon III mirror with a rocaille pediment, 163 x 112 cm

Elegant Napoleon III period mirror, second half of the 19th century, in wood and gilded stucco. Frame with rounded upper corners, topped with an openwork pediment decorated with rocaille motifs of shells and scrolls. The uprights are adorned with a fine floral engraving typical of the fine productions of the era. Original gilding with a beautiful patina of time, revealing the white undercoat in places, a guarantee of authenticity. Condition: generally good condition relative to its age. Wear to the gilding and small signs of use that add to the charm of this antique piece.
