In this advertisement, you will find a pair of magnificent hand-carved armchairs in black lacquer. They are designed in the style of Carlo Bugatti, while blending features from several traditional styles. The armchair has a curved wooden armrest in the "smoker's bow" or captain style, supported by spindles as well as the backrest. The most distinctive feature is the intricate relief carving on the vertical spindles of the backrest and above the front legs. Similar ornate and hand-carved pieces can be found in many styles, from Victorian to specific regional folk art, or inspired by Ethiopian or Indian designs. Made in Italy in the first quarter of the 20th century. The armchairs are in generally good condition. They are fully sturdy and show minor signs of age and use, such as scratches. They have been reupholstered in our workshop with recycled real fox fur, which we hope enhances their design and beauty, making them perfect for a mountain home.
