Two-body buffet in cherry wood, Louis-Philippe period – mid-19th century. This two-body buffet in solid cherry opens at the bottom with two drawers featuring a scalloped edge and keyhole assembly, along with two doors framed with miter joints and dowels. These doors are adorned with a moulding featuring a central profile with a rounded edge and amaranth fillet, and are equipped with a functional original lock with key in amaranth. The corner posts are highlighted with matching fillets. The whole rests on a raised base with a groove, finished with claw feet. The interior offers a fixed shelf. The upper part of this piece, which also opens with two doors, is crafted in the same style. When opened, these doors provide access to three adjustable shelves mounted on brackets. This piece is topped with a very discreet rounded cornice. The sides feature a dowelled frame. With a large storage capacity, this two-body buffet stands out for its size, specifically its shallow depth, and the warm colour of its cherry wood. Height 237 cm, width 150 cm, depth 62 cm.
