This rare model 39 armchair was designed by Kai Lyngfeldt Larsen for the Danish manufacturer Søren Willadsen during the 1960s. The armchair is distinguished by its low profile and distinctive, almost architectural design. It features distinctive armrests and a gently sloping backrest, giving it a subtly sculptural character. The simple frame is crafted from solid wood. The frame is upholstered in cognac-coloured genuine leather. This model features two loosely draped leather cushions with a natural and original patina. Kai Lyngfeldt Larsen was a distinguished Danish furniture designer whose work is defined by the combination of functional elegance and the highest quality natural materials. His designs are characterised by organic forms that harmoniously complement the solid construction. Although he is most associated with the Søren Willadsen manufacturer, he also designed for brands such as Søborg Møbelfabrik (e.g., the famous Model 501 armchair) and Bovirke (the Safari model). The armchair is in original vintage condition. The leather shows numerous signs of age, including pigment changes, abrasions, scrapes and natural patina. The seat height is 44 cm. We have a total of three pieces of this model. The remaining two pieces are available in separate offers. Together, they create a beautiful set, as shown in the photos. The colours of the products shown in the photos may differ slightly from the actual ones. This is due to individual monitor settings and lighting conditions – the photos were taken in artificial light, which may affect the perception of colours. However, we strive to ensure that the photos reflect the actual appearance of the product as faithfully as possible. The offer may include photos of the item in the living space, but these are for illustrative purposes only.
