Extensible Art Deco modernist table in walnut 1930–1944

Technical sheet. * Period / Style: Late Art Deco / Modernism, 1930-1944. Origin: Silesia, Zabrze (Hindenburg O.-S.), Möbel-Rischke workshop (Alfons Kotschi). Provenance confirmed by signature on the sideboard of the same series. * Materials: Furniture entirely re-veneered in European walnut. Main top with sunburst veneer (radiating). Edges highlighted with a black line. Built from hardwood, tops made of anti-warp laminated panels. Slides in solid beech. * Finish: High-gloss polished varnish (closed pores), high protection against water and alcohol. * Dimensions: Length 129 cm|Width 100 cm|Height 76.5 cm. Clearance under the apron (legs): 65.5 cm. Length with 1 extension: 174 cm|2 extensions (max): 219 cm. Description and condition. Extensible dining table with a clean and rigorous modernist design. Robust cylindrical base providing perfect stability to the whole. The opening system relies on internal beech slides, allowing for easy insertion of the two service extensions. The item has undergone a complete and thorough restoration in cabinetmaking. The structure is perfectly sound and stable. The slides of the extension mechanism operate smoothly and precisely. The mirror-polished varnish is impeccable, highlighting the new walnut veneer. Not used since its restoration, ready for immediate installation.
