Pair of solid pine chairs designed by Christian Durupt, a French cabinetmaker who collaborated with Charlotte Perriand on mountain interiors in the 1960s. Each chair has a wide, comfortable seat supported by four subtly tapered legs. The high backrest, with its integrated handle, combines simplicity and practicality. The use of solid pine enhances the rustic robustness and modernist aesthetic, perfectly reflecting the spirit of Alpine resorts of that era. Origin: Méribel, France, circa 1960. Seat height: 42 cm.
