Elegant decorative column in solid oak, featuring a remarkable turned shaft with a helical design, whose regular twist strongly highlights the natural grain of the wood. The whole piece reflects particularly meticulous turning work. The shaft, generously sculpted, is rhythmically adorned at its ends with several moulded rings, while the capital and circular base showcase a succession of turned profiles that give the piece a very pronounced architectural presence. The oak offers a deep and warm brown patina, interspersed with shades and variations in texture that enhance the sculptural character of the object. Some natural irregularities in the wood contribute to its authenticity and aesthetic. With its vertical design and the richness of its craftsmanship, this column transcends the function of a simple pedestal: it constitutes a true element of furniture sculpture, particularly interesting in a contemporary, eclectic, or richly adorned interior with antique pieces. It can be used as a base or pedestal for a work, a sculpture, a ceramic piece, or an art object, or simply presented alone as a decorative piece. Dimensions: H. 120 cm × Ø 34 cm Condition: very good state of preservation, beautiful old patina.
