Vintage ostrich egg lamp travertine brass 1970s Maison Charles style

1970s table lamp with a particularly elegant design, structured around a sculpted travertine base in the shape of an ostrich egg, typical of decorative creations inspired by Maison Charles. The composition rests on a square base of black lacquered metal and gilded brass, topped with an ovoid shaft of balanced proportions. The travertine, chosen for its naturally porous texture, subtly evokes the surface of an egg, while the brass elements, treated in stylised sheets, add relief and brightness to the whole.
