A superb set of five stackable chairs designed by Rainer Schell for the German manufacturer Schlapp Möbel in the 1960s. An iconic example of post-war modernist furniture for public spaces, combining functional simplicity with Scandinavian elegance. Made of solid beechwood, with a gently curved seat and back for optimal comfort, and finished with the original warm honey-toned varnish. Their clean design, balanced proportions, and stackable design make them perfect for easy storage around a dining table, in an office, or a creative space. Each chair displays a consistent patina and signs of age (varnish damaged in places), attesting to their authenticity and rich history. Seat height: 45 cm.
