Metalarte: Metalarte is a family business with a history of nearly a century, which began as a metalworking workshop founded by Antonio Riera Clariana in 1932 under the name Metall Arts. In the early 1940s, the company began designing and manufacturing its own lamp models. It was not until the late 1950s that it started to define the modern and innovative character that made it famous, influenced by the flourishing Scandinavian design of the time. From the 1960s, it began working with external designers who would become major names in Spanish industrial design, such as André Ricard, Enric Franch, Joan Antoni Blanc, and Josep Lluscà , thus establishing itself as a reference in the lighting sector and a pioneering company in Spanish design; in addition to distributing certain models produced by international firms such as Louis Poulsen, Arteluce, or Stilnovo.
