Glazed stoneware jug — Model 124 signed Denbac

Elegant glazed stoneware jug by Denbac, model numbered 124 under the base. This remarkable piece is distinguished by its slender silhouette, its sculptural handle integrated into the shape, and its matching stopper in ceramic and original cork. The enamel work is typical of the Denbac factory: controlled drips in shades of celadon green, tobacco brown and deep black intertwine in a fluid and organic decoration. Each side reveals a new enamel landscape. The whole evokes the late Art Nouveau vein and the naturalistic forms specific to the productions of this earthenware factory located in Vierzon, active until 1952.
