MPC floor lamp by Gilles Derain for Lumen Center

Floor lamp model "mpc" "merci pierre chareau", designed by gilles derain circa 1980. This remarkable floor lamp is inspired by the famous architect pierre chareau and is distinguished by its bold silhouette in the shape of a torii, a traditional japanese structure symbolizing the entrance into a sacred space. Its base in the shape of a metal blade, and its round section shaft accommodates the curved halogen reflector, carefully integrated into the upper part, allows to diffuse a soft and functional light. The balance of proportions creating a harmony between geometry and lightness, and the use of modern materials testify to derain's innovative approach. Edition: lumen center, circa 1980.
