Adjustable seating position. Presence of a small damaged area on the leather of the footrest. Description: Lounge chair designed in 1938 by the Italian painter, graphic designer, and architect Gabriele Mucchi. Gabriele Mucchi fought as a partisan in the anti-fascist Garibaldi brigade during World War II. After the war, he lived for many years in East Berlin, where he taught at the Berlin-Weißensee Academy of Art. The artist is considered one of the co-founders of "New Realism" (Nuovo Realismo), and his works are exhibited in many renowned museums.
