Glazed ceramic cache-pot with Mexican decoration – Art Deco - 20th century. Charming ceramic cache-pot with polychrome decoration, illustrating scenes of characters in a Mexican folk spirit. The flared body is adorned with stylised figures representing characters wearing sombreros, treated in relief and glazed in bright colours (blue, red, yellow, green) against a deliberately rustic background with a grainy texture. The decoration evokes scenes of traditional life or music, in a naive style full of character. The interior is covered with a speckled green glaze, contrasting with the raw appearance of the exterior. Dimensions. Height: 26 cm. Diameter: 29 cm. Condition. Good overall condition with signs of use. Some wear to the glaze and small firing irregularities, inherent to this type of artisanal production.
