Office armchair bistrot bentwood , by Ungvar 1895

Curved wooden office armchair, bistro type around 1900 by Ungvar, first manufacturer of Hungary at the end of the nineteenth century, it enters under the aegis of Mundus in 1907. This well-balanced chair, seat of 49 cm and total footprint of 58 cm is particularly comfortable and ergonomic. The interior passage between the two armrests is only 42 cm, an exception. It is apparently unwelcoming but we are very good to work. New tanned seat (manual work thread to wire -2.25 x2.5mm SR weaving), remarkable walnut patina, curves unique to this very great designer and creator of office chairs around 1900. (see catalogue) Perfect general condition. Seat height: 47 cm, total height: 81 cm height at the front of the armrests: 75 cm which descend to 73 cm high on the back. Label of the brand in poor condition but legible. We can graciously equip this chair with screwed skates (origin Germany), adapted by their material to the coating of the room where it will be used.
