4 patinated bronze cabinet handles - scroll motif

Handle with scrolls, handmade in Paris. I am a craftsman in Paris and I make each handle to order, in my workshop. No piece comes from stock: it is made for you, at the time of your order. This handle features scrolls, those curled foliage that adorned woodwork, ironwork, and goldsmithing since antiquity, then during the Renaissance and the 18th century. I draw inspiration from these ancient motifs to give them a place on today’s furniture, whether classic or contemporary. The piece is cast cold, then hand-patinated. The patina highlights the relief: the hollows remain dark and the raised areas catch the light, like a bronze that has aged. As the patina is applied by hand, each handle is slightly different from the others. These handles are not perfect, and that is what I love about them. A slightly more pronounced relief on one side, a deeper patina in a hollow, a slight variation from one piece to another: these are the marks of the hand, not defects. I have always preferred objects that bear the mark of their making to those that come out identical from a production line. It is these small irregularities that give each handle its character and make it a unique piece. It is suitable for both a family chest of drawers or wardrobe and a more modern kitchen, whether in light, dark, or painted wood.
