Jewel box Napoleon antique leather and velvet monogram A V XIXth century

This old box is made of wood wrapped in leather and brass. It is a beautiful jewelry box or travel kit that dates from the 19th century. In leather, it has a beautiful dark shade embellished with golden friezes, as well as beautiful brass fittings and handles. The top is sheathed in royal blue velvet and enhanced by an important monogram a V. Brass ornaments had to be present on the corners. The fittings are marked "cc". The interior is padded in blue velvet. We notice that an intermediate plateau is missing. A lock closes this beautiful box, but it no longer has its key and is not functional. Small ball feet protected the leather underneath (2 are missing). In good general condition, I report traces of use (scratches, stains, scratches). This box measures 40 X 13 X 31 cm. You can keep a sewing kit, jewelry or decks of cards and dice.
