Golden sun mirror "witch's eye" – 60 cm

Golden sun mirror "witch's eye" – 60 cm. I am selling a wall sun mirror with a diameter of 60 cm, measured from point to point. Its gilded and patinated frame is adorned with rays of varying lengths. According to the information on the label, it was made in Saint-Ghislain, in Belgian Hainaut. Its convex glass offers a panoramic reflection. This type of convex mirror, nicknamed "witch's eye, " appears in Flemish painting as early as the 15th century, notably in *The Arnolfini Portrait* by Jan van Eyck. The frame shows some signs of wear. Feel free to contact me for more information.
