Interesting painting made in oil on cardboard and signed by Christian Fointagne, dating from the middle of the last century and representing a café restaurant in Montmartre, rue de l'abreuvoir (located at 14 rue de l'Abreuvoir more precisely), historic establishment run by Georges Baillot (from 1924 to 1957). today a museum, (this establishment and especially known for having saved its zinc counter during the occupation by hiding it behind a partition). Do not hesitate to consult chriswac's very well-researched blog: http://www.montmartre-secret.com/2019/03/rue-de-l-abreuvoir.14.maison-georges.baillot.html Good state of conservation (slightly domed panel, nothing serious), the period frame is offered with the work. Dimension with frame: 54 / 62, panel: 38 / 45 cm
