Vintage Gibson & Sons Ltd Victoria sugar bowl

Gorgeous vintage sugar bowl from gibson & sons in the "victoria" pattern, featuring intricate panels, scrolls, flourishes and dots in gold, white, red and blue, over a deep and very elegant black background. Underside of the bowl is marked with gold printed "g&s ltd, victoria, rd no 300283, made in england" and a hand-painted "x" Made with the distinctive red clay found in staffordshire that distinguishes the "brown betty " style teapots beloved in england. The set consists of the sugar bowl and the lid. It's in lovely vintage condition, with expected evidence of age and use. There are no cracks or chips.
