Ashtray designed by the Cloutier brothers in glazed ceramic, preserved in perfect condition. The glaze has a high shine, with no defects or chips. Their creations are highly sought after. The iconic twins of ceramics. Robert and Jean Cloutier (07/08/1930 - 2008 and 2015). Trained by Georges Jouve, they joined Pol Chambost's workshop. In 1955, they established their own workshop in PARIS. Their works are distributed in the major department stores Mitsukoshi, with which they have collaborated since 1967. They were invited to TOKYO to share their expertise and developed a red glaze that achieved worldwide success. They also collaborated with renowned architects to participate in renovation projects, including the Galeries Lafayette in PARIS, as well as a partition wall for AIR FRANCE, and the Iranian embassy on the CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES.
