SAE model "77" table lamp, 1950s

Painted metal construction with adjustable shade, satin-finished aluminium central body and circular base. SAE maker's mark and model "77" stamped underneath the base. 1950s. Table lamp model "77", produced by SAE in Sweden during the mid-1950s. The adjustable shade takes the form of a hemispherical metal dome, interrupted by a band of fine ventilation slots that define its profile while aiding heat dissipation. The satin-finished aluminium central body and circular base create a well-balanced composition, while the adjustable shade allows the direction of the light to be easily modified. A design in which every structural element serves a precise function without compromising carefully considered proportions. The lamp retains the SAE maker's mark and the model "77" stamped underneath the base. Ok condition. It may show signs of age and use, in particular, wear and tear on the paintwork.
