Pair of Thonet chairs

These chairs were designed and manufactured by Gebrüder Thonet around 1920. This model appears in the old Thonet furniture catalogue under the name 'Model 142'. It well represents Thonet's signature technique of using steam-bent wood, combined with the elegance of Art Nouveau design. Nice seat design featuring caning. Place of origin: Czechoslovakia. Period: early 20th century. Good condition.
