Antique armchair in solid wood and brown leather, likely dating from the 1920s to 1940s. Its very unique silhouette combines a high, narrow backrest, rounded at the top, with two enveloping armrests made of fine vertical wooden slats. The tall, slender front legs extend down to the ground in tapered, fluted feet. At the back, the slightly inclined legs extend the curves of the backrest, giving the whole piece a silhouette that is both structured and elegant. The seat and backrest are upholstered in cognac brown leather, secured by a border of upholstery nails with rounded heads. The leather shows a particularly expressive old patina, with a fine network of creases and surface cracks that testify to its natural aging. The seat's belt is highlighted by a sculpted wooden border with a scalloped pattern. The underside reveals textile webbing. The seat is comfortable and has likely been reupholstered. The wood, with its warm and deep hue, retains a beautiful patina, with slight signs of wear. The overall condition is very good considering its age, with its presumed original leather, manufacturing details, and preserved authentic character.
