Vintage Gispen chairs model 1263, A.R. Cordemeijer 1960s

Set of 4 Gispen chairs model 1263 designed by A.R. Cordemeijer in the 1960s. The chairs have a slim chrome frame and are upholstered with grey fabric from De Ploeg. The design is characterised by its minimalist shape and the light industrial character for which Cordemeijer is known. The subtly curved backrest and seat provide comfortable seating, while the slender frame gives the chairs an airy appearance. The chairs stand on the original Delrin caps that are so characteristic of this model. Model 1263 is less often offered and is loved for its combination of functionality and timeless Dutch design. The chairs are extremely suitable as dining chairs or as stylish office chairs within a modern, vintage or minimalist interior. Dimensions: H80 X W45 X D50 cm. Seat height: 47 cm. The chairs are in very good vintage condition with light signs of use appropriate to their age.
