Rare vase pitcher by Gabriel Fourmaintraux, earthenware from Desvres, signed GF France Handmade under the base. Authentic piece from the 1960s, handmade at the Fourmaintraux factory in Desvres (Pas-de-Calais). Features: • Glazed earthenware, bright yellow interior typical of Fourmaintraux • Glossy black exterior with hand-painted marine decoration: large multicoloured fish, orange starfish, green seaweed • Round shape with double volute/spiral handle, collar with wavy yellow rim • Handwritten signature under the base: GF France handmade. Excellent overall condition, with some signs of age-related use. Fine crazing in the glaze at the decoration, characteristic of these old earthenwares.
