Large antique Italian wooden tray with brass handles.

Imposing antique Italian tray made of solid wood from the first half of the 20th century. Resting on three turned legs, it is made up of several pieces of carefully assembled old wood. Its perimeter is encircled with a brass band and adorned with two large brass ring handles, giving it an elegant and timeless presence. The wood shows signs of woodworm from before the tray was made, indicating the use of already aged wood. These marks are now part of its authenticity and charm. Originally intended for serving, this tray now naturally finds its place as a decorative piece. Its generous size makes it a superb centrepiece, but it can also be used on a coffee table, a kitchen island, a console, or a large pouffe. Its understated aesthetic and beautiful patina fit well in a country interior, a Mediterranean home, a wabi-sabi decor, or a contemporary setting. Dimensions. Diameter: 49 cm.
