Large workbench, a traditional craftsman's counter, used in a draper's or tailor's shop between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its wide, sturdy solid beechwood top allowed for the daily work of the craftsman. The slatted shelf at the bottom was used to store rolls and bundles of fabric.
