Silver and vermeil dessert service - Rococo style (12 pieces)

I am offering for sale this magnificent set of table silverware from the late 19th to early 20th century, in the Rococo Revival style (Louis XV / Napoléon III). This complete service of 12 pieces is presented in its original red leather and silk velvet case. Composition: 6 dessert/cheese knives and 6 side dish/fruit forks. Details and materials: The Handles: Made of Solid Silver (stamped 800), they feature a lush decoration of scrolls, acanthus leaves, and finely chiselled floral motifs in relief. The Serving Tops: The blades of the knives and the two-pronged forks are in Vermeil (gold-plated). This luxury finish was historically used to protect silverware from the acidity of fruits.
