Six vintage brown leather and steel ‘Texas’ dining chairs by Karl Friedrich Förster

A set of six vintage brown leather and steel, chairs produced in Germany by KFF and featuring very comfortable duck down seat pillows. Although showing some signs of wear these still remain a set of very comfortable and stylish chairs. Don’t be fooled by the seat height at 48cm, (which is high for a dining chair) as the duck down seat cushions puff up when not in use and then settles down and provides real comfort when sitting. Originally designed as a dining chair these chairs actually also work well as a lounge chair, so if you are used to giving long dinner parties sparked by much conversation these are the chairs for you. Although still sold today, at a cost of £1, 250 per chair by KFF, these chairs date from the late 1990s. They are presented in good vintage condition with some small marks to the steel legs here and there and some wear marks on the front arm rest corners and tops of the chair backs as shown in the pictures. The fabric under the base of the chairs is in excellent condition and one chair under the cushion has a small hole, all as shown – however, that is naturally hidden by the cushion in normal use and obviously doesn’t have any effect on the chairs function. They are therefore more used than perfect, but that may suit the style you are going for- and the price naturally reflects this. Dimensions H85 x W52 x D54 cm Seat height 48 cm
