This ancient pot with two handles in glazed ceramic is a terracotta container covered with a lead green glaze. It originates from Central Europe, from the early 20th century, when popular ceramics were turned and glazed for domestic cooking. These two-handled pots were used for cooking and storing on the fire and in the pantry. The lead glaze waterproofed the piece and made it easier to maintain. The body is made of turned red clay, with two vertical handles at the shoulder. The green glaze covers the entire surface, with coppery and orangey spots where the oxide reacts during firing. The glaze shows uneven wear, with both matte and shiny areas, and the clay is exposed at points of use. The surface appears authentic, with no restoration masking it. By its size and design, it can be used as a wide-opening vase, a table piece, or an accent in a kitchen. It fits into wabi-sabi, rustic, and Mediterranean-style interiors, where it brings warmth and texture. Details. Dimensions: Length 27 cm – Depth 19 cm – Height 29 cm.
