This table/wall light is a bold statement piece from the 1970’s. It is believed to be designed by an incredible glass designer jaroslav bejvl (1941 - 2016). The light was produced and made at the kamenicky senov factory in former czechoslovakia - a country with a great and long tradition in producing top quality glasswork. A very high level of craftsmanship was required to make this thick blown glass and spiky shape, later nicknamed “the hedgehog”. This glass is screwed into a steel base. This light can be hung on the wall or ceiling but also just placed on the table and used as a desk lamp. The on/off switch is located on a cable separate from the lamp. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, with only some minimal natural wear gained over the years on the steel base. All parts are original and fully functional.
